I love doing holiday shirts. This year we decided to do 4th of July shirts. Go to Family Fun for complete instructions.
Basically, you just bend pipe cleaners over you thumb, twist, and spread the stems and fan.
Dip the cleaner in paint and press on shirt. We did red, white and blue,
then did a second layer of clear glitter paint for sparkle.
They were really simple, even Brigham and Paul's turned out nicely. Yes, I did help a little. But, the project was successful. If you plan on adding a glitter layer, give them time to dry (we just set them out overnight) before you do glitter to keep from smearing.

Wow! How patriotic - they look really cute. You're so crafty.
Great idea!
What a cute idea! It is so fun to read through your blog. Since it has been years since we have hung out or chatted, it is fun to see we still have much in common. I look forward to the day we can meet up again, and I can meet your sweet family. But for now the blogging will do nicely:)
So, after much contemplation, I have decided to copy your idea and we will be heading to the nearest craft store tomorrow to pick up the needed supplies! :) (I hope you don't mind!)
I am always so impressed with all that you do Tara!
